Timor Treasures has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. The following discloses the information gathering sequence in use by Timor Treasures.

Collecting your personal Information

At Timor Treasures, it is our concern to protect customer information and to provide a safe and secure on-line ordering system. Our on-line ordering system is used to gather only necessary information about our customers, enabling us to provide the complete on-line ordering service.
No information will be collected from browsing our web site. If you choose to register on our web site your personal details will be stored in a secure and encrypted database so we can make your on-line purchasing easier, or to provide you with prompt assistance if you should call or email our office for support.
Our web server uses cookies if the customer’s browser allows. The cookie is only used for shopping session purpose; it is not used for collecting individual details. Our web site is also capable of accepting an order without using cookies, such as in the case that a customer has disabled the cookies in the browser.

Use and security of customers personal Information

We collect your contact information (name, address, e-mail address, and phone numbers) to process your order.
This information will be kept confidential and at no time will this information be traded, swapped, exchanged or sold to any other party or company. Timor Treasures will not use this information for any other purpose than to complete a customer order, or to communicate with the customer to discuss associated problems or delays concerning their order(s). We may share this information and only that information which is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing of your order. For example, the financial institution that issued your credit card and the shipping that delivers your order if you elect to use a carrier other than Australia Post.

All customer information is kept on a secure server and protected by firewall security systems.
Customers can access and update their details by logging into the Timor Treasures web site. The access is achieved by using the customer number and a password. Passwords are stored on our server using one-way encryption technology. A forgotten password cannot be retrieved in its original form. A new password must be re-issued each time the customer requests a password. Customers can have the re-issued new password sent to them by submitting the correct E-mail address.

E-mail Address

The E-mail address you submitted during an order will be used by Timor Treasures for the sole purpose of extended customer service. Timor Treasures will only use your E-mail address to communicate with you about the status, cost and shipping details, or any other changes regarding your order. We may also send E-mails to customers for important events such as change of address etc

The E-mail address you submit to join the newsletter mailing list will be used for the sole purpose of sending regular newsletters. We maintain the newsletter E-mail list separate from the ones stored in the customer database. Newsletters will not be sent to those E-mail addresses stored in the customer database.
