In this section I showcase some of the containers that the Timorese use. Some store dry goods, or act as a water or food container that is taken to the garden, others are shamanic containers used to carry herbs and compounded incenses. Most containers here have age and are well travelled.
I have also included the Stone Mortar and Pestles that I am occasionally offered. The holes in the Mortars represent 6-12 generations and several hundreds of years in the making.
