Witness the incredible array of catapults / slingshots / or cartapel as they are known in Timor. These artistic creations are equally effective as they are great looking. Used primarily for killing small animals as a supplementary food source they are also responsible for the near annihilation of many bird’s species on the island.
Spoons and Knives of many shapes and from a variety of materials are still produced and used daily on the island. There is ritual significance behind some of them.
